The short answer

You pre-order GTA 6 on PS5 in the PlayStation Store on your console, in the PlayStation App or on the web. Pay before November 20, 2026 to qualify for the Vintage Vice City Pack and the free GTA+ month. Confirmed This page covers the PlayStation specifics. Pre-order GTA 6 on PS5

  1. Sign in to the PlayStation account you will play on. Region and age settings come from it.
  2. Open PlayStation Store and search for Grand Theft Auto VI.
  3. Choose Standard Edition ($79.99) or Ultimate Edition ($99.99) in the US.
  4. Select Pre-Order and confirm payment. PlayStation charges your payment method as soon as you confirm. Confirmed
  5. Open your Game Library and select the game. A countdown timer appears. Select it to check that auto-download is on for the content you want.
  6. Turn on Stay Connected to the Internet in your PS5 settings so downloads can start without you.
  7. Claim the GTA+ month in the PlayStation Store before March 31, 2027.

PlayStation warns that downloads start by themselves when Automatic Downloads is on. Turn it off if you want to keep a refund option open. Confirmed

Pre-load on PS5

PlayStation's store page says the game includes a 7-day pre-load. Confirmed Take-Two says pre-load for digital pre-orders opens November 12, 2026 Confirmed, which matches seven days before launch. Space matters: the install size is not announced. Read our file size guide before that date.

PlayStation's refund wording ties refunds to not having started the main download. It does not say how it treats a pre-load. If keeping a refund open matters to you, assume that pre-loading counts as starting. Estimate

Region, payment and eligibility

  • The GTA+ offer is not available in Bahrain, China, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Russia or Taiwan. Confirmed
  • You must meet the age requirements for both the game and GTA+. Confirmed
  • The month can be claimed once per account, and it auto-renews unless you cancel in Subscriptions Management before the next payment date. Confirmed
  • The store page lists the game as PS5 and PS5 Pro Enhanced, and says it is not playable on PS4. Confirmed
