Rockstar has confirmed a single-player experience with two playable leads on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, plus PS5 features such as DualSense support and PS5 Pro enhancement. Confirmed Most other gameplay detail comes from press describing the August 27, 2026 Extended Look or previews, and Rockstar has not published a feature list. Unconfirmed

What Rockstar staff have said

In August 2026 interviews carried by Dazed, Rockstar head of development Rob Nelson said the world reacts to what players do, giving a rifle-on-the-street example. Confirmed The same package describes research in Miami, more than 50 street artists painting murals and a larger, more varied crowd of non-player characters. Confirmed

These come from outlets describing the video or hands-off previews. Rockstar has not published them as a feature list. Unconfirmed

• Switching between Jason and Lucia during play, per TheWrap's description of the footage.
• Conversations with non-player characters and petting dogs, per TheWrap.
• Activities such as basketball, swimming, jet skis, nightclubs and base jumping, per TheWrap.
• Character weight and fitness, and a criminal reputation profile, as reported in preview coverage. We did not open the underlying articles.
• No full first-person mode at launch, reported by GTA Intel from Rockstar North's Nelson, with limited first-person aiming. Unconfirmed

Press also report a 30 frames per second target on console from the creator preview, and a six-star wanted scale. We could not confirm either from an official page, so treat them as Unconfirmed.
