Who he is

Jason Duval is one of the two playable protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI, alongside Lucia Caminos Confirmed. Rockstar's official page describes him as a man who wants an easy life while things keep getting harder.

Background

Rockstar says Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army meant to shake off a troubled youth, he ended up in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners. The official text says it might be time for him to try something new. Confirmed

People around him

His friend Cal Hampton, a conspiracy theorist who listens in on Coast Guard communications from home, is described as a fellow associate of the veteran smuggler Brian Heder. Rockstar says Brian lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties in return for help with local shakedowns. Confirmed

His story with Lucia

Rockstar describes meeting Lucia as something that could be the best or worst thing to happen to him. Its official character quote for him is short: "If anything happens, I'm right behind you."
